1.       Bottleneck - a narrow section of road or a junction that impedes traffic flow.
2.       Diversion- (i) the action of turning something aside from its course.   
(ii)           an activity that diverts the mind from tedious or serious concerns; a recreation or pastime.
3.       Bumper- exceptionally large, fine, or successful.
4.       Gridlock- a situation of very severe traffic congestion.
5.       Barrier- a fence or other obstacle that prevents movement or access.
